Abstract
In this study, we consider a new Newton-like method considered by Saheya et al. (2016) for solving nonlinear equations. Using the idea of restricted convergence domains, we obtain better location about where the iterates are located leading to a tighter convergence analysis than in Saheya et al. (2016). These advantages were obtained under the same computational cost. Numerical examples are also presented to illustrate the theoretical results.
