Abstract. In the present paper, we initiate a new type of fuzzy contraction, namely the concept of fuzzy \alpha\eta\Theta_{f}-contraction and prove some fixed point results for such class of mappings in the setting of complete fuzzy metric spaces. We discuss certain significant consequences of our findings using different instances of admissible functions and auxiliary functions. The results combine, extend, and improve a number of earlier findings in the literature.
